Hey everybody, Sugar Ray Dodge here, aka Dave Chadwick. I'm the author and illustrator of Mystery Science Storybook as well as the editor-in-chief of RiffWiki.net. I have something I'd like to say and I hope you'll endure the cheesiness of it until the end, because there's a fun prize there if you make it all the way through.

2015, frankly, has been the best year of my life since I left the U.S. Army 6 years ago, and it largely has to do with the creation of Mystery Science Storybook: Bedtime Tales Based on the Worst Movies Ever. For those of you who don't know, what I did was take movies that were featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000 and RiffTrax and drew my own parodies of them. Featured chapters included Manos: The Hands of Fate, Twilight & Harry Potter, Birdemic, Time Chasers, The Final Sacrifice, Hobgoblins, The Pumaman, Road House, This Island Earth and The Room, among others. I had an absolute blast doing it, but more importantly, it proved that there is a place in the world for crazy cartoon books based on crazy bad movies. That I was able to bring this into existence still astonishes me, because by all rights, something this absurd should not exist.

But none of it would have been possible without the support and encouragement of the fans of MST3K and RiffTrax. This community is hands-down the best fandom in the entire world. The outpouring of support I got for this project was overwhelming, and now I'd like to give something back. That is why from today until January 31st, 2016, Mystery Science Storybook will be available to download for free to all fans of MST3K and RiffTrax! Just follow this link to download your free DRM-free pdf and you're done! It's yours! No strings attached! You helped make it happen, you deserve it.

That being said, I am currently working on finishing the follow-up, Night of the Living Storybook, as well as ship the Kickstarter and Pre-Order rewards to everybody who supported it. If you'd like to help in this regard, please consider supporting the continuation ofthe series by donating on Patreon, which is a site that is like Kickstarter, only it supports ongoing projects. For me to continue and for the art and jokes to be their best, I gotta pay them bills. Even a donation of $2 per comic will be extremely helpful. Another great way to support the cause is to buy Night of the LivingStorybook, Part One: No Movie is Safe on the Amazon Kindle, which is only $2.99 for six brand new parodies. It would also be extremely helpful if I could get some more reviews on Amazon and Goodreads to prove that there is an audience hungry for more Storybook tales.

Thanks for everything, you guys. Don't forget to download your free copy of Mystery Science Storybook. It's yours, no strings attached. Again, thanks for helping make 2015 one of the best years of my entire life.

Once Again, Welcome RiffTrax Live-ers!

Greetings, fellow RiffTraxians! Another RiffTrax Live show is in the can, (although there is an encore presentation on December 15!) and I'm already looking forward to whatever the 2016 Live Shows are. If you're seeing this right now, you no doubt have found your way here from the Digital Goodies section of Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny and already gotten your sample of Night of the Living Storybook, Part One: No Movie is Safe! If you'd like, you can get the entire installment for only $2.99 on the Amazon Kindle! It contains six brand new parodies based on Julie and Jack, Rollergator, House on Haunted Hill, Incognito Cinema Warriors XP, Batman and Robin and Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny! ALSO, if you haven't already, you can still pick up the original Mystery Science Storybook, still only $3.99 on Amazon.

As you can see in the title, this was only Part One of Night of the Living Storybook. If there is going to be a Part Two and beyond, I'm gonna need some help from the people who love these comics to keep them coming. To that end, I have set up a Patreon page to help ensure that I can keep cranking out the comics based on the horrible movies we all know and love. No obligation, of course, but if you could click over to my Patreon page and just hear my pitch for the continuation of the series, that'd be super swell. Okay, enough of that...

I'd like to thank everybody at RiffTrax for including me yet again as part of the Digital Goodies. It's such a great honor for me to contribute and I hope to continue to do so in the future. It's an amazing validation of all my crazy fan projects. Again, you guys are awesome. And thanks to everybody who went to RiffTrax Live tonight and bothered to pay me a visit. I always love meeting new RiffTraxians so we can share this awesome thing that we all love together. And I'd like to leave you all with this "How to" video, where I taped myself updating the Mike, Kevin and Bill set for the Digital Goodies.
